Aluminium windows and hinged shutters

Ah, windows and hinged shutters… 🤩

There's so much to say, so we'll try to keep it brief and to the point!

- The choice of materials is crucial: here, aluminium helps to modernise the house and does away with the maintenance that wood used to require 🪵

- Colour makes all the difference: White was chosen for its timelessness and its ability to complement any style

- The quality of the products and the installation is at the heart of the service: it guarantees thermal and acoustic insulation 🤫

- Windows are a key element in the security of your property: 44.2-grade, burglar-resistant glazing was selected for this project

- They greatly enhance the home's appearance, whether to preserve the existing style, modernise the look, or add a touch of traditional charm

- The decision to retain the window sills and/or glazing bars drastically alters the amount of light entering the room (and therefore solar heating in winter)

- The options make a real difference: built-in fly screens (as seen here on the master bedroom window), handles, etc. 🦟

- Shutters can also modernise the look, preserve traditional charm, or free you from maintenance. They can be motorised, solar-powered, or not, to make opening and closing them easier. 🔒

It's worth noting that your local authority sets out in its local development plan (PLU) what you are and aren't allowed to do, depending on your zone. This project – even if it involves replacing the existing structure with an identical one – requires prior notification to the planning department! 🏙️

A successful project, with choices that comply with regulations, makes maintenance easier and modernises the house whilst retaining its traditional charm!
